This trip has been contracted by the Sierra Club, for more information please contact Tom Davis 563-588-7767 tom.davis@loras.edu or call for alternate dates or a custom trip, Highline Trail Llamas 307-537-3310 hilntrllamas@wyoming.com
July 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21st, 2012 with one adult per child

We follow the crystal clear waters of Granite Creek for 3 days to it’s headwaters and a base camp near Turquoise Lake.  The spectacular displays of wildflowers and wildlife, such as moose, elk, deer, big horn sheep and bears are common sightings along the way compelling us to keep our cameras close at hand.  From our base camp we have opportunities for great day hikes, including bagging Cache Creek and its’ spectacular views or just relaxing around Turquoise Lake.  One more beautiful camp on our return down Granite Creek to a well deserved soak in the hot springs.

This trip also has an option of a loop via Little Granite and the Highline Trail.

July 29, 30, 31, Aug. 1, 2, and 3 - 2012
Price: $895.00 per person, 12 and under ½ price with one adult per child

This 6 day loop is for the more adventuresome and revolves around Hoback Peak. Although not extremely difficult we do follow obscure and sometimes exciting trails to access the high country. Hoback Peak offers top of the world views. The mountain ranges of western Wyoming and northern Utah form a 360 degree panorama. After climbing, or just admiring Hoback Peak, we traverse the Little Greys to Cliff Creek Pass. We then follow Cliff Creek down passing the falls to the Cliff Creek Trailhead. As on all our trips to the Gros Ventre and Wyoming Range the common thread is: grand vistas, wildlife and solitude.

Sept. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,and 8th ... 2012

This trek offers a tremendous variety of scenery and fishing for the distance of hiking involved. Departing the Big Sandy Trailhead we are headed to the back side of the Cirque of Towers, Shadow and Billy’s Lake where we will take a lay day. There is an opportunity for a great side hike to Texas Lake and Texas Pass, fishing in Washakie Creek, Shadow Lake and Billy’s Lake or just relaxing around camp. Then we trek to Mae’s Lake for another lay day with the opportunity for a spectacular day hike, looping past Pyramid Lake for a “shock and awe” view of Ambush Peak and dropping into the East Fork Valley and back to camp at Mae’s Lake. One more camp at Marms Lake and perhaps another trout dinner then returning to the Big Sandy Trailhead.

8)Wind River Mountains : Boulder Creek

Sept. 11- 12- 13- 14 and 15, 2012
Price $825.00 per person 12 and under ½ price with one adult per child

Trout fishing is the main theme of this 5 day llama expedition, although the views of and from the vast expanse of Boulder Meadows stand on their own. The variety of water we will visit on our trek through the Middle and South Forks of Boulder Creek offers great opportunities for fly fishing or spin casting no mater the level of your experience, beginner or expert. Rainbow, Brookies, Macs and Cutts populate both the lakes and streams of this scenic alpine country. This is our favorite time of the year to be in the mountains. Labor day has come and gone along with the mosquitoes and most everyone else. The elk are bugling and the trout are active “life is good”.
