High mountain weather is unpredictable. During
the course of your trip expect everything from warm and dry to cold, wet and
windy. Clothing should be chosen to be used in layers, be breathable, quick
drying, wicking, warmth without weight and comfortable. Hiking boots should be
well experienced and waterproof. This is your most important piece of
equipment. We recommend everyone carry a daypack with the items they always
want immediately accessible, and large enough to accommodate exploratory jaunts
from camp..
